Ironically I'm reaching the rest stop that serves as Missouri's welcome center as I'm getting close to leaving the state. They have a cute Route 66 themed decor, including this sign, in the day and lit up at night in neon. Had a nice conversation with a lady working at the rest stop. I told her about my travels and how much I had liked Nebraska, and it turns out she's from Nebraska. I stopped here to have a break from driving in the heat and fell asleep in the trailer for a couple of hours. On to Springfield for gas.
